A long overdue post from an Instameet I attended last September 5. How I got into this event is through Instagram - how social media works here in Dubai is that, you just need to make use of the proper hashtags and viola, you'd be able to find the community you are looking for!
Instameet (n) an event where Instagrammers around the world are encouraged to go on an adventure together - taking pictures is a must!

I heard about the gathering from the
infamous Herald Herrera. He's been featured on
Instagram Blog once for showing the world a different side of
Dubai. And I can't deny it, he's one of the few people I look up to. His IG
feeds are amazing everything looks picture perfect, sometimes surreal.

Fresh from PH, my
room mate Jason tagged along. He's one of my favourite people in Dubai, and he
also takes good photos of me. Don't worry, I make sure I return the favour! Try
to catch him on instagram and you'll notice most of
his model-like photos were taken by, ehem, no other than by yours truly. Hihi.
*inserts evil grin here*

Fresh fruit juice in
mason jars and merengue ice cream from Ghaf Kitchen. Food trucks in
Dubai are in.

#TodayIMet ...
A lot of Filipino Instagrammers in Dubai! Pinoys have
bragging rights, you see. Go and explore their instagram profiles and you'll
know what I mean. :)
@marjanne.ph - this cutesy fashion blogger I met from an
event for Moreschi.

@ohitsjean - who happens to be living in the
same building as I am. Hello Jean!

@boyintsik

@jeromerafael - this is just one of his
amazing shots

@keithwalter

@markwilson

@daryllbborja
There are a few more Filipino Instagrammers but I'm not
sure how to tag them (sorry in advance!) I also met a few other Instagrammers
from the other side of the world and their feeds were UH-MAZING! To know more
about the people who participated on this Instameet, feel free
to check this link or search for the
hashtag #MyShoesMyCity on Instagram.
